NETAPP SNAPVAULT COMMANDS TUTORIAL

SNAP VAULT COMMANDS

TO SHOW SNAPVAULT DESTINATIONS:
Snapvault destinations (or) snapvault destinations –s <filer:path>

TO ABORT THE SNAPAULT OPERATION:
Snapvault destinations –s <filer:path> (to get the snap name)
Snapvault abort –f <destination filer: destination path> -s <volume> <snap name>

TO MODIFY SNAPVALT PARAMETERS:
Snapvault modify –k <kbs> -t <n> -o <options> -S <primary system: path> <secondary system: path> (from secondary)

TO REVERT SNAPVAULT RELATIONSHIP:
Go to secondary controller.
Snap prerevert –f

TO RELEASE SNAPVAULT RELATIONSHIP:
Snapvault release <primary path> <secondary system: path> (in primary)
Snapvault release <secondary path> <primary system: restored path> (in secondary)

TO RESTORE FROM SNAPVAULT DATA:
Snapvault restore –s <snap name> -k <n> -S <secondary system: path> <primary system: path>

TO SEE CURRENT SNAPVAULT STATUS:
Snapvault status

TO START SNAPVAULT OPERATION:
From sec storage,
Snapvault start –S <source system: path> <destination system: path>

TO STOP SNAPVAULT OPERATION:
From sec storage,
Snapvault stop –f <secondary system: path>

TO UPDATE SNAPVAULT SECONDARY CONTENTS:
From sec storage,
Snapvault update –s <snap name> <secondary system: path>

TO CREATE SNAPVAULT SNAPSHOT:
Snapvault snap create <volume name> <snap name>

TO PRESERVE A SNAPVAULT SNAPSHOT:
Snapvault snap preserve <volume name> <snap name>

TO UNPRESERVE A SNAPVAULT SNAPSHOT:
Snapvault snap unpreserve <volume name> <snap name>

TO DISPLAT CURRENT SNAPVAULT SNAPSHOT SCHEDULE:
Snapvault snap sched

TO SET SNAPVAULT SNAP SHOT SCHEDULE;
Snapvault snap sched <volume name> <snap name> <5@mon-fri@9-19>

TO UNSCHEDULE A SNAPVAULT SNAPSHOT:
Snapvault snap unsched <volume name> <snap name>

TO DO SNAPVAULT QTREE CHECK:
Snapvault check start –d <snap name> -S <primary system: path> <destination system: path>

TO ABORT SNAPVAULT QTREE CHECK:
Snapvault check abort <secondary system: path>
