NetApp EF Series Disaster Recovery (Mirroring)




Configuring Synchronous Mirroring:

Check the Mirroring premium feature.

Then Activate the source and Destination Storage system mirroring.

Select the Source Storage System and Activate the Mirror Feature.




Now select the Mirror type.


This mirror activation, will create a mirror repository volumes to manage the mirror relationships.




Now Mirror feature is activated.

You can see the repository volumes also.



Same steps you have to do it in destination storage system also.



Now select the source volume and create a Sync Mirror relationship.





Now select the destination storage system




Then select the destination volume.




Set the priority level.




Mirror Preview and Summary.




Now the mirror was successfully created.


To check the Mirror status and all the information.



Now the status is synchronised.




Then you can create a consistency group also.



NetApp Oncommand Unified Manager



NetApp Oncommand Unified Manager:



Access the NetApp Oncommand Unified Manager through browser and login.


First step to add the cluster which you want to manage.

Provide Cluster Management IP and user credentials, this would automatically discover all the node information.




This will discover all the nodes in the cluster.



Now you can manage the Cluster health, capacity, configuration, disks and nodes.



You can view and Manage the Nodes and all connectivity.
Also manage the disk shelves and Ports.



Listing the physical ports.



To manage the Aggregates.


To list and Manage the disk information of an Aggregate.



To list and Manage volumes like capacity, configurations and Protection.



List and Manage SVMs.

All LIFs, Qtrees, NAS Shares and SAN LUN's.

First access through the SANtricity Manager and also you could see all the storage systems which is managed by the SANtricity Manager.




To Manage the Storage System E2800 Series, This will open in System Manager.

You can view the complete dash board.



You can view the capacity, performance and complete storage hierarchy.



In Storage tab, You can create and manage Pools, volumes, host mappings and Data protection like snapshots and Mirroring.



Using Hardware tab, You can view the complete Hardware information of Storage Systems.




To view the disk shelves and Bay information.


Using this you can set all network management.




Setting Network Management ports.





Managing Disks.




Creating Pools and Volume Groups.




Creating New Pool.







Creating New Volumes.



Select the host and work load information.

 Volumes view with details.





For volume Mapping, Create new hosts.




Creating New Hosts.



Now Map the volume to the assigned Host.
