Veritas NetBackup 8.1 Installation and Configuration with Opscenter Analytics




Veritas NetBAckup 8.1 Installation :


New features

  • Introducing NetBackup CloudCatalyst to upload deduplicated data to the cloud
  • Faster full backups for Isilon filers using NetBackup Accelerator
  • Auto Image Replication (A.I.R.) import confirmation feature introduced to SLPs
  • Accurate licensing feature and other updates with nbdeployutil
  • NetBackup introduces a new BigData policy type

New minimum system requirements for NetBackup master servers

Starting with this release of NetBackup, the NetBackup master server requires 4 cores and 16 GB of RAM. This requirement does not apply to OpsCenter servers, media servers, or clients.

Start the installation from your source DVD.



Install the Server Software.




















Master Server hostname.



















Installation  Successfully Completed.




Access through NetBackup Administration console.

Login to OpsCenter Analytics.


OpsCenter is a web-based software application that helps organizations by providing visibility into their data protection environment. By using OpsCenter, you can track the effectiveness of backup operations by generating comprehensive reports.
OpsCenter is available in the following two versions:
OpsCenter
This OpsCenter version does not require any license.
OpsCenter provides single deployment configuration and user interface for monitoring, alerting, and reporting functionality.
OpsCenter Analytics
OpsCenter Analytics is the licensed version of OpsCenter.
In addition to the features available in the unlicensed OpsCenter version, Analytics offers report customization, and chargeback reporting.




You can create a customized report using Opscenter analytics.
