NetApp C-Mode Disk Management




Login to the NetApp C-Mode  Cluster Shell:





To check the cluster status, run the following command.

> Cluster show





To list the available disks, run the following command.

>Storage disk show







To list the spare disk alone.

> storage disk show -spare



To list the spare disk alone in one particular node

> storage disk show -spare -home <nodename>




To list the new disks or unassigned disks.

> storage disk show -container-type unassigned



To assign a disk to the node.

>storage disk assign -disk <diskname> -owner <nodename>



To list the disks used by the particular aggregate.

>storage disk show -aggregate <aggr name> -home <node name>



To replace a disk.

> storage disk replace -disk <disk name> -action start -replacement <new-disk-name> 




To unassign an existing spare disk.

> storage disk removeowner -disk <disk name>




To fail disk manually.

>storage disk fail -disk <disk name> -immediate



To list the failed (broken) disks.

>storage disk show -broken



to unfail the admin failed disk.

>stoarge disk unfail -disk <disk name> -s true





To zero the spare disks.

>storage disk zerospares.
