ONTAP 9 - Different Shell's Tutorial:
In ontap 9 has the following shell environments.
1. Cluster Shell ( Command Scope. Can access all Nodes)
2. Node Shell (Only one Node)
3. System Shell (Only One Node)
Few commands not works in admin mode, so you have run these commands either Advanced or Diag Mode.
You can switch to Node Shell from cluster shell only.
Node shell you can run only 7-Mode commands.
Prompt looks Node Name>
System Shell:
Prompt Looks Node-Name %
This system shell is used for diagnostic purpose.
You can see all config and log files.
You can access and check the RDB units also.
In ontap 9 has the following shell environments.
