Netbackup 7.7.2 VTL Command Line Configuration

Netbackup 7.7.2 VTL Command Line Configuration Tutorial:


1. Run a scan command to list the connected Medium changer and tapes.

2. Using tpautoconf command to list the tape and medium changer details like port, target, bus and LUN numbers.

3. Using tpconfig command, add the robot with their address.

4. Then add the drive using the tpconfig command.

5. Run tpconfig -dl command to list the configured device details.

6. List the robo information from Netbackup Admin Console.

7. List the drive information from GUI.

8. Do the tape inventory using vmcheckxxx command to list the tapes with their barcode.

9. Now create a media volume using vmadd command.

10. List the media volumes using vmquery command.

11. Create a new volume pool and list the volume pools.

12. Create a mediamanager storage unit using bpstuadd command.

14. Check with Netbackup Admin Console.
