ONTAP 9.1 Guided Cluster Setup using Template File

For setting up ONTAP 9.1 cluster, first you have to do the node initialise and set the node management ip address.

Then we can do the cluster setup using CLI or GUI.

After adding the node management ip address, then you can access through web browser.

You access through web browser, you will the welcome screen.

Now you download the template file.

You download the file as .csv or .xlsx format. However you can upload a file in .csv format.

The sample file looks like this only.

You provide all the information like, Cluster name, cluster management ip, switch or switch less cluster, Base license etc.

Then upload this file.

Then this will automatically get the value from the file and configure the cluster.

Support and Event Information.

Now you configured cluster successfully using the template file.
You can view complete summary also.

 Complete Summary.

Now you can manage the cluster through System Manager for SVM and Storage provisioning.

In console automatically take you to the login prompt.
