NetApp & Tape drive Tutorial

NetApp Volume Backup using Tape drives:

To list the connected tape drives.

To check the status of the tape drives.

 Create a testfile using wrfile command and take backup using smtape command.

After taking backup, add some more lines to the test file.

 Now using smtape restore command to restore the volume.

Now check the file, you don't have new lines.
